Rioni (Districts)
Make sure you visit this little village during your stay: a historic district of Moena and an ideal place for an interesting stroll. The district is very well tended by its inhabitants, who have set up an association called the “Grop de Turchia”. This helps to protect, promote and develop the traditions of these ancient streets, decorating the barns, fountains, and even the woodsheds, adorning them with beautiful flowers and little wooden sculptures.
The old barns are therefore in a very good state of preservation despite the passage of time, and the contrast between the colourful flowers and the old wood of the buildings only adds to their attraction. One of these, the “Tabià del Bronza”, is open to the public in July and August. It houses a wildlife exhibition by the Moena Hunters’ Association, with information about the animals that live in our mountains.
